Thanks for visiting my Website. As you may already know, I am, by nature, an artist and musician. This page is where you will get a better feel for my musical training and accomplishments.

I was born in Charleston, South Carolina at the Charleston Naval Hospital to (hopefully) proud parents, Robert and Kimie (that's my Bro on the left). When I was born, my Mom looked at my hands and said that I'd be a musician, possibly a pianist (she was close).

By the age of seven, I began studying the guitar as part of the rock-n-roll fad of the sixties and seventies. I learned some of the basics on an instrument that was way too big for me until I was nine. Then, one day during school, the music teacher handed out flyers to see if anyone would be interested in learning to play an instrument. Not even knowing what instruments were on the list, I choose the first thing...you guessed it...the violin (I really had no idea what a violin was!). I had been studying with the public school string teacher for less than six months, when she strongly suggested that I study with a private teacher because I had surpassed her ability to teach me. She directed me to a man that was having auditions for talented young musicians. I choose to audition on both the guitar and the violin.

After hearing me play, he said that I was musically gifted on both instruments but would do much better to focus on one. Without even thinking, I choose the violin. That's when I began my violin studies with Col. Charles L. Waid at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina at the age of ten.
